First, where you can interview. Because capture is tab audio, you must join the meeting in a browser. Their own setup walkthrough warns:

Many companies send a Zoom or Teams link and expect the desktop client. With Sensei, you’re the candidate asking to switch to the browser version — or quietly hoping the web client doesn’t degrade your audio.

Second, what the interviewer can see. A tab-based copilot is invisible only while you share that one tab. The moment an interviewer requires full-screen sharing — standard practice in tech loops — the Sensei window is on the recording. As one reviewer put it:

Third, how fragile it is. Browser-based processing is, per Final Round AI’s write-up, “more sensitive to internet connection stability,” with users on variable connections reporting inconsistent transcription. The most concrete user report we found is worse:

Sensei’s automatic mode listens and “respond[s] on its own when it detects a question.” Reviewers describe the result: the auto-overlay fires on anything question-like, including casual chit-chat, and answers can pop up “while you’re still mid-sentence.” Several reviewers call the overlay distracting.

The “<1 second latency” on the homepage meets Final Round AI’s hands-on measurement: two to three seconds just for the tool to recognize the category of a behavioral question — before any answer generates.

What’s not documented is more telling: how it handles a question the interviewer revises mid-sentence, rapid-fire follow-ups, multiple queued questions, or navigating back to an earlier question. No reviewer has ever described a question-history UI. Our working hypothesis, from the observable behavior: it’s a streaming transcript feeding an auto-trigger, one question at a time, forward only.

Interview Clozo treats the hard parts as first-class engineering problems.

• Interviewers speak in fragments and revise as they talk — every question revision commits with an immutable context snapshot, and partial questions refine instead of corrupting
• Follow-ups arrive before the previous answer completes — multiple answer panes fill in at once, and a newer question supersedes stale work without cancelling unrelated work
• Transcription events arrive out of order — a stale answer from the previous question can never reach your screen
• Jump back to earlier questions while new ones keep arriving
• The whole flow is engineered so it won’t freeze or misfire mid-round

Sensei’s free plan caps Copilot sessions at 15 minutes with an automatic cut-off — a demo, not a free tier, since no real interview fits in 15 minutes. Move to the “Pro free trial” and, per Interview Sidekick, it asks for a card and auto-converts to paid after a countdown. The pricing structure offers no middle tier, deliberately pushing you toward the annual plan.

And if the product disappoints?

Final Round AI’s review calls it “a firm policy, not a soft disclaimer.” We could not locate the vendor’s own terms page at all — common paths return 404 — and no company name, team, or headquarters is published anywhere.

One more thing worth knowing before you type your card number into a lookalike site: a clone domain, senseicopilot.net, exists that mimics Sensei’s brand as an affiliate trap for a different product. When a company publishes nothing about itself, even telling the real site from the spoof becomes the user’s problem.
